There is a lot of development going on right now in Walt Disney World.
Magic band stuff is still being perfected.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train construction is nearing its end.
The hub in Magic Kingdom is being remodeled, as well as the Polynesian.

But as the media events going on in WDW are coming to a close, a series of announcements were made today.  Here's the update:

    • Dates: Runs August 30 - December 23, excluding:
      • October 4-October 25
      • November 2-November 8
      • November 21-December 11
    • Resort: Most resorts are included, but the following are not:

  • Animal Kingdom is developing a new nighttime show called River of Lights.  No date has been announced yet.  However, they did offer this concept art picture:

    • The Avatar themed section of Animal Kingdom is still scheduled to open in 2017.
    • There will be a nighttime event (that costs about $120 extra per adult) called Harambe Nights in Animal Kingdom starting this summer, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Lion King.  More information HERE!
